The Spring Centre is an initiative of the Jehovah Nissi Mission Help Initiative.
The Spring Centre is committed to curbing the incidences of defilement /rape and other forms of sexual abuse, rescuing and helping victims process of recovery; from its effect through rehabilitation. We are committed to creating enlightenment on the menace of rape and other forms of sexual abuses pervading the society. We educate the people on how to avoid being victims and where one has been a victim, how such victim ought to be handled.
Furthermore, we have created an umbrella for several professionals ranging from Security Agents, Counselling Professionals, Medical Practitioners to Legal Practitioners so as to help victims of these dastardly acts under one roof (a One-Stop Centre) so that a survivor gets all necessary help/attention without discrimination and stress in a physical space known as THE SPRING CENTRE.
Registered in December 2016, it is headed by Adedamola Lapite with over 70 volunteers from different walks of life who engage in advocacy and educative programmes and outreaches so as to reach a larger number of people on prevention and response of sexual abuse.
Mission
To provide an individualized, multi-dimensional response to sexual violence in Nigeria by rendering professional and comprehensive services to victims of sexual abuse through medical, psychological and criminal justice services and to carry out advocacy and education on sexual abuse prevention.
Vision
The vision of the organization is to provide holistic, comprehensive, client centered and quality medical, psychosocial and legal services to survivors of sexual assault/violence, rape and defilement.
